CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) - The Nevada Department of Education says the high school graduation rate in the state increased compared to last year.

They say the statewide graduation rate for seniors was 85.4%, up from 81.6% the year before. 34,175 students graduated this year in the state of Nevada.

“We saw strong gains in the graduation rate for the Class of 2025 and it’s a testament to the hard work of our students and educators,” said Dr. Victor Wakefield, Superintendent of Public Instruction. “The graduation rate for Career and Technical Education students is particularly notable and reflects the importance of providing students with access to hands-on learning opportunities to gain valuable skills and experience that can lead to high-demand careers.”
