FAYETTE COUNTY, Ill. (First Alert 4) - The adoptive mother of Kylie Toberman, the teen killed in Vandalia, Illinois, has been arrested on gun charges.

Donna Toberman, 65, of Vandalia, Illinois, was arrested and charged with four counts of unlawful possession of a firearm without required identification cards. The charges come after Kylie Toberman, Donna Toberman’s adoptive daughter, was assaulted and killed by the 14-year-old’s adoptive brother.

The Illinois State Police state that on November 14, ISP, the Vandalia Police Department and the Child Death Investigation Task Force executed a search warrant of the Toberman residence at the 1100 block of W.
