India is in mourning after an Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot was killed in a Tejas fighter jet crash during a demonstration at the Dubai Air Show on Friday. Leaders across the country, from the military to political figures, have expressed grief and paid tribute to the pilot’s courage and service.
Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, speaking on the incident, said the Indian Armed Forces deeply regret the loss of life and stand firmly with the bereaved family.
