TOWN OF WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - Two planned developments, just outside the City of Watertown, are projects aimed at beating a state deadline.
One is a 12,000-square-foot retail plaza on Alexander Drive just off Outer Arsenal Street.
The other is a warehouse off Outer Coffeen Street in the Jefferson County Industrial Park.
Both are projects involving developer Mike Lundy.
Lundy tells 7News he scheduled the projects for an upcoming Jefferson County Planning Board Meeting to get approval and draw permits ahead of the state’s January 1st deadline. That’s when the state was going to ban natural gas hookups for new buildings.
The state has put that on pause, but Lundy will still move forward with the projects.
There are no specific tenants right now.
