A teenage girl has tragically died after an industrial accident at work in Cambridgeshire. Žavinta Petrašiūtė, 19, died at Pretoria Energy Mepal near Chatteris earlier this week.

Officers from Cambridgeshire Police were called to the plant at 3pm on Monday and a spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary confirmed that enquiries were being carried out.

The teenager's dad shared an emotional message on Facebook , writing: “We want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. During this incredibly painful time of losing our daughter we never expected to receive so much kindness unity and warmth from so many people."
