ROCKLAND, Maine (WABI) - A student was hit by a school bus Friday afternoon in Rockland, according to RSU 13 officials.

The student was struck at the intersection of Eliza Steele Drive and Broadway, officials said.

Emergency services were called and the student received medical attention, RSU 13 said.

RSU 13 said they are working with law enforcement and emergency responders as they investigate.

Counseling services will be available for students and staff who may need support during this difficult time, according to the district.
