Gogglebox favourites Dave and Shirley Griffiths kicked off Friday's episode with some lovely news.

As the show began, Dave surprised Shirley by setting off a loud confetti cannon, leaving his wife in shock.

Shirley exclaimed: "What have you got there?" before reacting to the confetti explosion with: "You stupid cow! You d**k!".

A grinning Dave then announced: "Happy anniversary!" before planting a kiss on his wife. He added: "We've got to celebrate, haven't we, 50 years!".

A laughing Shirley responded: "I was going to say, you've covered the b****y dogs!" as their pet dogs were seen covered in confetti, reports the Mirror .
