Jones given maximum sentence for 2022 shooting that killed UVA football players

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A man who pleaded guilty to shooting and killing three University of Virginia football players in 2022 has been sentenced to prison.

On Friday, Christopher Darnell Jones, Jr. was sentenced to the maximum of five life sentences plus 23 years.
