A suspect has been charged in the shooting death of a Mountain Brook man who was found shot to death at hunting property in Talladega County.
Joshua Thomas Bettis, 36, of Childersburg, is charged with murder in the slaying of 31-year-old Frank “Wesley” Davies IV.
Bettis was taken into custody Friday. He is being held in the Talladega County Jail.
Chief Deputy Josh Tubbs said a motive is not being released at this time.
Davies, whose family has owned Little Hardware for generations, was found dead Saturday night in the 1000 block of Odena Road North.
He lived in Mountain Brook but had spent a lot of time at the family’s second home on Odena Road near Sylacauga.
