BOSTON —
A group of six Democratic lawmakers now has extra security after President Trump accused them of being "seditious," a crime he said was "punishable by death."
On Friday, the president walked back those words and said he was not actually threatening death.
But he still maintains those lawmakers are in "serious trouble."
The six lawmakers are all military veterans or have served in the intelligence community.
They appear in a social media video urging troops to stand by their oath not to obey illegal orders, and added they could be prosecuted if they do.
The Democrats did not say which illegal orders they're referring to, though it's likely in reference to illegal boat strikes happening in the Caribbean, at the order of the president, which has killed at least 83 people.
