Imaginarium’s Utopia, billed as Northern California’s largest holiday light festival, has delayed its 2025 opening that was planned for Friday.
The annual attraction was set to return to Cal Expo starting Nov. 21, 2025, through Jan. 4, 2026.
But a Cal Expo spokesperson cited "unforeseen circumstances" for the delay Friday afternoon within an hour of when gates were set to open. It was not clear exactly when it will open.
"Guests who have already purchased tickets for this date will be able to use them on any future event date. In addition, all impacted guests will receive an extra complimentary ticket as a thank-you for their patience and understanding," Cal Expo's Darla Givens said.
