SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

A man was shot and killed in Del Paso Heights on Friday afternoon, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police said the shooting happened just after 2:45 p.m. in the 900 block of Harris Avenue. Officers found the man with at least one gunshot wound and attempted lifesaving measures before taking him to a hospital, where he later died.

A homicide investigation is underway but there is no suspect information yet, police said. The identity of the man who was killed has not yet been released.
