WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WFIE) - A Boonville church is helping local youth stay fed and fulfilled.
Last Monday, Impact Ministries on started its Impacts Care program.
Officials say program benefits include funding lunch accounts and helping with field trips.
Already, officials say Impact Cares contributed almost $2,000 for a band student’s field trip.
The church’s pastor came up with the idea.
“My husband grew up as one of those kids whose families could not afford things like that,” Associate & Youth Pastor Ashley Miller said. “In school, if you can’t afford the field trip, you sit in the office. If you can’t afford the snack days, you just don’t get one. He doesn’t want another kid to ever feel like that.“
Miller says they also help with holiday shopping and school pictures.
