Make it points in seven straight games for the Minnesota Wild after they blanked the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-0 on the road Friday night.
Matt Boldy scored twice, while Kirill Kaprizov, Joel Eriksson Ek, and Marcus Johansson all found of the back of the net once in the road rout.
The Wild erupted for three goals in the first period, and then went up 4-0 just 69 seconds into the second period when Kaprizov scored his 12th goal of the season.
That goal tied Boldy for the team lead, but for less than a period as Boldy's second of the night and 13th of the season gave Minnesota a 5-0 lead at 17:46 of the second period.
Filip Gustavsson earned the shutout in goal for the Wild, only needing to make 19 saves. It was Minnesota's third shutout in the last six games.
