As LSU focuses its coaching search on Lane Kiffin , officials are putting together a lucrative formal offer to the Ole Miss head coach.
LSU leadership has discussed a seven-year deal worth at least $90 million that includes significant incentives, according to a report Friday from Yahoo Sports .
LSU is also preparing to commit $25-30 million annually for the roster through revenue sharing and NIL, sources told The Advocate, which is believed to be an important factor to Kiffin. LSU spent about $18 million on the roster this season, former coach Brian Kelly said.
Though Gov. Jeff Landry criticized expensive buyouts in public comments last month, Yahoo Sports reported that he has blessed LSU’s pursuit of Kiffin, who is also a top target at Florida.
