BATON ROUGE – In its very public pursuit for its next head football coach, LSU is preparing to offer current Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin a lucrative contract.

According to a report by Yahoo! Sports Friday night, LSU administrators are still working through the figures but they are looking at offering Kiffin a deal worth at minimum $90 million to be the next LSU footbal l coach with seven years being discussed. Terms of the reported contract is "incentive-laden."

The numbers would place Kiffin among the highest-paid coaches in college football. Georgia's Kirby Smart makes $13.2 million annually. LSU hopes to have a commitment from Kiffin "within the next week," the report says. LANE KIFFIN DECISION EXPECTED AFTER EGG BOWL
