A mind-bending optical illusion has left people stunned as it fools their brains into seeing a black and white photograph differently - but only if you follow one crucial instruction. Dean Jackson, who goes by @beatonthebeeb on social media, posted a monochrome picture of a horse amid sunflowers and paving slabs.
He insists the trick only works for those who keep their eyes fixed on the horse's eye throughout his one-minute demonstration, explaining how you'll watch the image transform from black and white to full colour thanks to "retinal fatigue". In the video, he overlays the picture to reveal "psychedelic colours" - including turning the sunflowers blue - which have been deliberately added to "fatigue some of the receptors in your retina".
