A mystery figure stood motionless on a roadside has left drivers feeling deeply unnerved. Multiple sightings have been made of the eerie figure, whose head turns slowly as motorists drive past.

People say they have spotted the “creepy” figure out in all weathers, sometimes during the day, but usually at night. The figure is said to stand rooted to the same spot for hours, sometimes soaked to the skin, prompting speculation it might be a spooky scarecrow.

A spate of sightings were reported recently near Gwynedd, Wales, after a video was shared on social media. A497 drivers have since said they get “goose bumps” whenever passing the spot near Haven’s Hafan y Môr Holiday Park close to Pwllheli on the Llŷn Peninsula.
