New Delhi, 22 November 2025 – The Central government’s UMEED portal, meant for mandatory online registration of all Waqf properties under the Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025, remained completely non-functional throughout Friday, triggering widespread panic among Waqf institutions and Mutawallis across the country.
Users reported that the portal has been showing errors since early morning, with many unable to log in, upload documents, or complete registrations. This is not the first instance – similar technical glitches have plagued the portal repeatedly over the past weeks.
