From 2019 to 2014, 200 million laddus were made with adulterated ghee.

A new revelation has come to light regarding the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) laddu prasad. TTD Trust Board Chairman B.R. Naidu stated that 48.76 crore laddus were made between 2019 and 2024.

Out of these, approximately 20 crore laddus were made with adulterated ghee. According to TTD, this estimate was derived by combining the daily number of devotees, purchase records, and manufacturing and supply data.

The SIT questioned former TTD Chairman and YSRCP MP Y.V. Subba Reddy for eight hours in this matter.
