SRINAGAR : Hepatitis A outbreak has been reported in Churat village of Qazigund area in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, with at least nine children showing symptoms of jaundice, officials said on Saturday. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kulgam, Dr. Showkat Ahmad Parray, said that complaints had been coming in from the area over the past two to three days regarding children developing symptoms indicative of jaundice.

“Some cases were reported by private practitioners and some by government health facilities. Our surveillance teams immediately started field visits and have so far identified around 7 to 9 symptomatic children,” he said.
