PAINESVILLE, Ohio — A 52-year-old man was fatally shot early Saturday outside a downtown Painesville restaurant, police said .
Police and fire crews responded around 3:30 a.m. to Johnny Gringos, 11 Chester St., after receiving a report of a man who had been shot, according to the Painesville Police Department. Officers found the victim outside the business and attempted life-saving measures before he was taken to University Hospitals Lake West Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
A 28-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene after bystanders detained him, police said. The suspect was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital before being booked into the Lake County Jail. He faces a murder charge and is being
