Jellybean Johnson has died days after his birthday. Jellybean, whose real name was Garry George Johnson, died suddenly on Friday night.

However, his cause of death remains unknown. His death came just two days after he celebrated his 69th birthday. The musician who played the drums for Prince and founded The Time recently reflected on his life, saying he didn't think of his achievements or his time on stage.

Reflecting on his life last week, Jellybean said on Facebook : "I've been blessed to live a life shaped by music, community, and the love of people who believed in me long before the world knew my name.
