A fire that erupted on a container ship at the Port of Los Angeles and temporarily triggered shelter-in-place orders for two communities has been “substantially contained” Saturday, Nov. 22.
Authorities responded to a fire that occurred below the deck of a container ship called ONE Henry Hudson at the Yusen Container Terminal in the Port of Los Angeles on Friday, Nov. 21, according to the Port of Los Angeles.
The ship’s crew reported an electrical fire originating below deck, the Los Angeles Fire Department said on Friday.
