Jungle star Kelly Brook's husband has defended his wife following cruel online abuse targeted at her figure.

The I'm a Celebrity campmate faced nasty remarks about her body shape prior to entering the Australian wilderness.

Jeremy Parisi revealed it was "hard" for women like Kelly to face such intense examination of their appearance.

He commented: "I'm so happy to see Kelly being so confident and happy in her own skin, it's hard for women in the public eye to be put under such scrutiny but she is a positive role model for so many women which is something she should be proud of."
