An 8-year-old girl had one of her dreams come true last week, thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Fairmont Pittsburgh.
Scout Orient, 8, helped Fairmont Pittsburgh last Saturday decorate and taste-test its new, special holiday dessert, which will be featured on its special menu this year. Advertisement
Scout, who was diagnosed with brain cancer, rolled up her sleeves and stood side-by-side with a pastry chef, helping to create a sweet masterpiece.
"It looked very fun," Scout said about decorating. "[I'm] a cake fan."
Pamela Orient said Scout had talked about the opportunity with the hotel nonstop for days.
