A man convicted of armed robbery and other offences who has been on the run for 18 months has been nabbed in Toronto.
Ontario Provincial Police say Nicholas Singh – a federal offender sought by the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad since he went “unlawfully at large” on May 31, 2024 – has been taken into custody by Toronto Police.
The OPP appealed for help from the public finding Singh back in August 2024 saying the then-23-year-old was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching his statutory release.
Singh is currently serving a five-year, five-month and 10-day sentence, the OPP said in a statement released Saturday.
He was previously convicted of discharging a restricted/prohibited firearm with intent, robbery using a restricted/prohibited firearm, and possession
