CLAYTON, Ind. — The Cascade Cadets will compete for a state championship in football after taking down Gibson Southern 49-34 Saturday night.
Cascade's season so far has been one for the record books. Heading into Saturday's game, the Cadets had not lost since dropping last year's sectional championship game to Southmont in overtime.
So far this season, Cascade has been averaging at least 51 points per game and they showed no signs of slowing that pace down on Saturday.
Junior cornerback Michael Langley got things started quickly for the Cadets by intercepting a Gibson Southern pass. This set up Cascade's first touchdown of the night off a pass from senior quarterback Brady Trebly to senior running back Toby Savini.
