PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Central Illinois plays host to a number of comic conventions and expos.

This year, the River City welcomed another with Illinois Comic Con at the Peoria Civic Center.

Guest stars included voice actors, cast members from Power Rangers and Mad Max, Cosplayers, and Steve, who’s the original host of Blue’s Clues.

The convention had a strong showing for its first year, with attendees meeting crafters and artists, and sharing their passion for pop culture.

The event included panels, tabletop and video games, and many vendors.

25News anchor Kent Davis was at Comic Con all day. If you couldn’t make it on Saturday, the show continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
