A motorcyclist was hospitalized in a crash in Phoenix, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department said the crash happened near 16th and Van Buren streets at 12:35 a.m. on Saturday.

Police said the crash happened after a car went through a stop sign and pulled onto Van Buren Street. The motorcycle was driving west on Van Buren Street and hit by the car.

The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver remained at the scene and did not show any signs of intoxication.
