OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — A man is hurt after being thrown from his vehicle in a Georgetown Township crash on Saturday evening.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office (OCSO), around 6:50 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a crash at Cottonwood Drive near Chicago Drive.
Deputies said a black Chevrolet Blazer, driven by a 20-year-old man, was headed southbound on Cottonwood Drive near Chicago Drive. According to the initial investigation, a red GMC Sierra, driven by a 16-year-old boy, was headed west on Chicago Drive and failed to stop at a red light.
The Sierra crashed into the Blazer, deputies said.
OCSO said the driver of the Blazer wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from his vehicle. He was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
