DETROIT, MI – Michigan State Police are investigating a rollover crash Sunday morning, Nov. 23, that injured a 26-year-old man.

The man is currently receiving medical care at an area hospital, police said.

A crash was reported to the Detroit Regional Communication Center around 7:45 a.m. on the Southbound Lodge Freeway near the westbound I-94 ramp.

Police said a 26-year-old Romulus man was driving a Chevy Suburban when he missed the ramp to I-94, drove up a grassy embankment, hit a tree, and rolled over.

It did not appear to police that any braking was involved prior to the crash.

Troopers arrived and found the man trapped inside his vehicle. The man was extricated and unconscious with a faint pulse. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.
