GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church hosted the third annual Living the Word Ministry pre-Thanksgiving service Sunday evening, bringing multiple church communities together for a cause.

Seven churches came together to bring people together ahead of Thanksgiving.

“This is a time the community needs to come together, to stand for one another, and stand with one another for justice, for passion. Just to be a witness of the love that holds us together,” said Tom Greener, St. James United Methodist Church lead pastor.

Pastor Greener and Living the Word Congregational Coordinator Ken Hamin said this is a crucial time for people to unite.
