GEORGETOWN, Texas (KWTX) — One utility worker died and two others were injured Sunday afternoon when a suspected drunk driver crashed into an Oncor crew working near Westinghouse Road and Kelley Drive, according to the Georgetown Police Department.
Police said 20-year-old Alezander Cruz of Austin was driving a black Ford Escape southbound on Kelley Drive around 2:31 p.m. when he struck an Oncor truck.
The collision pushed the truck into another vehicle, trapping three workers between the two trucks. A fourth worker cleared the impact area.
A 20-year-old male from College Station died from his injuries. Two other workers were transported to local hospitals. Their conditions are unknown.
