SHAKOPEE, Minn. — A woman is dead after a crash in Shakopee late Sunday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that 46-year-old Kala Karlene Henry of Chaska was headed south on Highway 169 just after 11 p.m., driving the speed limit, when a GMC Acadia struck her Chevy Cobalt from the right rear side at a high rate of speed.

Henry's vehicle was pushed into the ditch, hit a culvert and rolled over. The SUV that struck her remained on the road, facing the opposite direction.

The victim was rushed to St. Francis Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The 20-year-old driver who hit her was taken to M Health Fairview Southdale with non-life-threatening injuries.
