A man required hospital treatment after violence erupted on a Lidl car park in Telford.

The incident, which involved two men, happened outside the supermarket in Madeley on Saturday evening (November 22).

West Mercia Police arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of assault at the scene.

He has since been released on bail as enquiries continue.

Officers were now appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault, which happened at around 6pm, to come forward.

Detective Constable Duncan Elliott said: “We are urging anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or perhaps has dashcam or mobile phone footage, to get in touch.
