SMITHFIELD – The long soccer road Muslim Umar has traveled to date took him to the end of a Mamadi Jiana cross Sunday night.

Nigeria, Canada, multiple youth academies, two stints in USL League Two, three years in college at Portland – all of that development went into Umar helping Bryant record its first men's NCAA Tournament victory in program history.
