RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person was seriously injured in a chase that ended in a crash in Raleigh.
At 2:04 a.m., a trooper tried to stop a 2016 Acura ILX for going 69 mph in a 40 mph zone on US-401 near Wake Forest Road in Wake County, according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP).
Manuel Gibran Zambrano-Cedeno, 27, initially stopped, but then ran as the trooper was getting out of his car.
The chase went onto Wake Forest Road and then Falls of the Neuse Road in Raleigh.
While on Falls of the Neuse Rd., NCSHP says Zambrano-Cedeno hit a 2015 Honda Accord and then got out of his car and ran on foot, but was taken into custody shortly after.
The driver of the Honda was taken to Wake Medical Center for serious injuries.
Zambrano-Cedeno is being treated for minor injuries.
