Coronation Street legend Andy Whyment has been seen reuniting with one of his former co-stars after an emotional admission when they left the show earlier this year.

The actor is famed for playing Kirk Sutherland in the ITV soap, having made his debut in the role back in 2000. However, that wasn't Andy's first appearance on the cobbles as he actually appeared in the long-running show in 1990 and 1997.

At the time, he was just referred to as Mark. And he also previously appeared in the Salford-based programme as Wayne, a guy who was simply purchasing some fireworks in The Kabin.

But it was in 2000 that he became a regular in the role of Kirk and the rest, as they say, is history and he recently celebrated a huge 25 years on the famous cobbles.
