A pupil was taken to hospital after a lunchtime incident at a North East school that saw the air ambulance attend.
Emergency services were called to St Hild’s Church of England School in Hartlepool about 12.50pm today (November 24).
A St Hild’s School spokesperson said: “At lunchtime today, a pupil was involved in an accident.
"Emergency services responded quickly and the student is currently in hospital receiving treatment.
"We are sure you will join us in wishing them a very speedy recovery.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has got in touch to share their best wishes and say a huge thank you to the emergency services and St Hild's staff who dealt so swiftly and calmly with the situation. We will continue to update you as and when appropriate.”
