On Nov. 23 at around 6:35 p.m., deputies with the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Newberry, SC, following a report of a shooting involving a young child.
While deputies were responding, dispatchers were able to ascertain that two young children had been shot, one in the hand and the other in the foot.
Upon arrival, officers located a four-year-old and a two-year-old, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel from Newberry County EMS provided aid on scene before the children were transported to the hospital for treatment. Their current conditions are listed as non-life-threatening.
