The Town of Chapin announced Wednesday that it has eliminated the position of town administrator as part of a government restructuring that aims to streamline operations and consolidate policy and operational authority under the the mayor's office.
“ The Town of Chapin is under the direction of newly elected Mayor Bill Mitchell Jr., and with this leadership transition come organizational changes,” the town said in a statement. “During a recent special-called meeting, the Town Council members who were present voted unanimously to update the Town’s organizational structure. As part of this update, the Town Administrator position has been removed from the organizational chart.”
