A top Glasgow chef has sadly passed away after a "courageous battle" with lung cancer, his family have confirmed.
Chefs and celebrities from around the country have paid tribute to chef John Quigley , who was the owner of the family-run Red Onion restaurant in the city centre.
The much-loved chef opened the Red Onion on West Campbell Street with wife Gillian, and their two daughters Amy, 21, and Rosie, 25.
The family have released a statement, revealing that sadly, he had passed away on Sunday (November 23), stating: "On Sunday we sadly lost our beloved husband and father, John Quigley, far too young aged only 62, after an extremely courageous battle with lung cancer.
"John will be sorely missed by his wife, Gillian, and daughters Rosie and Amy who wish to extend their thanks for all
