LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man has been accused of sexually assaulting a Lincoln woman after allegedly repeatedly stalking her.

On Oct. 23, Lincoln Police received a report from a woman saying that 34-year-old Erik Kreifels had been repeatedly calling, texting and leaving voicemails in an obsessive manner. According to court documents, Kreifels had called or texted her on a near-daily basis for the past two years, calling her up to 150 times per day.

The woman had changed jobs twice due to continual calling, and Kreifels had threatened to kill her, police said.

On Oct. 24, the woman reported that she had received 406 missed calls, 68 text messages and 31 voicemails from Kreifels, court records show. Between 9:13 a.m. and 9:37 a.m., she had 126 missed calls from Kreifels.
