CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A convicted felon accused of shooting at vehicles on Interstate 485 pleaded guilty Monday to a federal weapons charge, prosecutors announced.
Anil Dabydeen, 40, admitted to possessing a firearm as a convicted felon in connection with the Jan. 8 shooting on I-485 in Charlotte , according to court records.
The incident began around 4 p.m. on Jan. 8 when Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a man in a white Honda sedan shooting at passing vehicles on the highway near the South Tryon Street exit, court documents show.
