SALEM, Va. (WDBJ) - When you go to trade in a car, it should be a simple transaction.

But for LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, the road to “Easy Street” included a large crew and some heavy lifting.

Our story starts in 1993, when a crane lifted a 1988 Chevy Nova, through a fourth-floor window at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

Monday morning, it came back down after more than 30 years on “Easy Street,” the physical therapy space at the hospital that allows patients to practice everyday skills.
