LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Just last week, officials with Amazon announced the closure of its LIT1 facility because it did not meet building code.

Upon the announcement of the closure, the questions from community members have not been about their packages being processed and delivered, but rather about what will happen to the thousands of people who work inside the facility.

"Very disappointing. It puts like a sour taste in your mouth for the company in general," explained Georgia Wagner, who is a former Amazon employee.

Wagner received her offer letter to return to work at the Amazon LIT1 facility starting October 30. However, she couldn't imagine that she would never get a chance to walk through the doors.
