Ruben Amorim believes Manchester United deserved to lose against Everton. Amorim hit out at the lack of "intensity" during his press conference and admitted his side "didn't play well".

United were undefeated in five Premier League games before facing Everton and were handed a huge advantage when Idrissa Gueye was sent off for slapping teammate Michael Keane.

Everton opened the scoring through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the 29th minute. United were outplayed in the first half, despite having an extra player on the pitch, and Amorim had made three changes before the hour mark in an attempt to spark a response from his players.
