CLEVELAND, Ohio — Dozens of worshippers across Cleveland were shocked Sunday when they left church services and found their car windows shattered, doors damaged, and personal items stolen.
Cleveland police say the break-ins happened in multiple church parking lots while congregations were inside worshipping. Calls began flooding in just before noon from churches throughout the city.
One of the hardest-hit locations was the historic Olivet Institutional Baptist Church on East 89th Street and Quincy Avenue, where police say multiple vehicles were damaged.
