A married headteacher told a colleague to "inspect this miss" as he pulled down his pants and showed her his flaccid penis, a professional standards panel was told.

A committee heard that the alleged incident involving school chief, James Richards, happened during a residential trip when he was inspecting a pupils' room with another teacher.

The pair were alone in the room at the time, and when recounting the story, the tearful teacher said that Richards went on to expose himself again in his office at Cadle Primary, saying: "I love my wife and children but I just cannot help myself," before "laughing goofily".
